Course Reviews

I played a golf tournament there & I was very happy with my experience there! The course extremely scenic and varying & between this & the one other tournament I play in (earlier in the year) the staff here FAR surpassed my other course! Management was very helpful and accomodating, the guys in the pro shop were also very friendly and were quick to greet you with a smile & a quick answer to whatever was needed. The ladies in the restaurant were hands down the hardest working and friendliest that we could've asked for. Restrooms were older, but clean & well cared for & carts were newer and in good running condition. I would definitely play here again! (I should also mention that I had my 2 kids there with me of whom is an Autistic teenager & they both enjoyed their day here as well)

The course was running a special so we got 18 holes w/cart and a meal for under 30 bucks so it was a great value. It is a beautiful course with quick greens which was surprising because it was very wet (cartpath only) the day we went. It is pretty open but also challenging.

Fun course. I was at times impressed with the fairways and at other times disappointed in the left over grass clippings. Also, the course had been plugged somewhat recently so the greens were awful. Sandy, bumpy, etc. It is too bad that is a process that the course needs because it ruined some holes for me.

A very nice course with the #9 hole having an island green. Fun course to play, in very nice shape. The putting green was a little run down but other than that...nice.

This course is too expensive. Like a previous review said, there just aren't enough options in the franklin area and they take advantage of it with the price.

Course was beautiful. Greens and fairways were in great condition. The greens were challenging but not so fast to be impossible. A lot of the holes are pretty open, so its not a particularly difficult course, but still a great place to play. Highly recommended.

I'm visiting from out of state and I found the course quite enjoyable. a fair layout, interesting holes, excellent upkeep, it was a little more then some others in the area but then I didn't have to drive half an hour to get there either. Staff was attentive great marshalls, they even brought out iced towels to help keep you cool. I plan on playing it again before I go home if I can find the time.

great course

this course is great!! is has a nice layout, good scenery, very well kept good for all level golfers, challenging (however not so difficult that you would want to quit half way through the round) nice to hit over water, good pricing, nice staff>>>....

Good round of golf but too expensive

I have played this course many times. The problem in the immediate Franklin area is that we just don't have any choices. This course has become very very busy on the weekends and the marshalls don't take control to keep the pace up. Overall the course is a good play but needs some work around the rough of the fairways. New greens are coming on nicely. All in all a reasonably good course but too expensive.

Decent local course but, better values to be had elsewhere!

I found this course to be very average, especially for the price. There are several courses around the state that are 5 star for $15 a round less. "Forrest Crossing" pales in comparison to "Champions Run" only a 20 min. drive from Franklin and "Pine Creek" only a 30 min. drive from Franklin. Forrest Crossing's greatest attribute is it's Clubhouse, which is unfortunate since most of us are there to play golf.
