I have played this course at least 20 times. It is a really good layout, greens are always smooth and fast. Not an easy course but one that is fair...LT

Well maintained and a good challenge - especially the greens which can kill a good round. Hidden away in Drummonds but well worth a visit - good value.

This is a terrific course the greens are in great shape. The course itself was difficult but enjoyable for a high handicap like myself. Try it is definately worth it

Update from an ole Crockett player.

Since 2005 alot of work on the course has really made an improvement. Alot of tree have been cut back and landscaping has been done. This summer 07 the greens will be redone switching to Champ Bermuda. The large trees along the fairways have had the under growth cleared, so if you hook/slice etc... one can find thier ball and "break outta jail". I play the course 2x a month or more and since 05 I have never been there and not seen a ground crew working in some fashion. Usually its the owner himself! As for lessons...Dusty Sykes is a young man about 23 and a PGA Apprentice at the course. His cost is about 1/2 that of lessons in Memphis for a package deal. He is down to earth and his use of metaphors helps the "common" person as myself. One day you will see him in the St Jude Classic.
As the greens are redone starting in June, your patronage during this time will be remembered by the staff, as "alternate" greens will be set up. In closing, the scenery is great, w/ the rolling hills offering about every golf shot in the book.

Golf at Leisure

Golfing at your own pace is one of the higher traits that this golf course holds. Positive and outgoing staff gives you the warm feeling that you are welcome there. Golf originated around nature and this course brings you back to that feeling. This courses layout is ever-changing, every hole is different, as are the fairways. I've played here for almost 2 years, am surrounded by 5 courses, and always find myself coming back.

Fun Course

A fun and enjoyable course. I have been there many times and enjoy the play and the staff. The greens could use some work but other than that it is a gorgeous course. The staff is friendly and very good down to earth people. Weekdays it isn't too crowded but the weekends it is packed. Price is reasonable but the clubhouse and pro shop need some help. The is a great place for a big group to go and be able to have a great time. The scenery is gorgeous and the course itself is so much fun. Give it a try it will suck you in and you will go back all the time.
