Willow Run was under alot of construction when I played in July '12. It appears that the course is undergoing a management change with all of the work going into the course.
The course plays very fair with many of the holes off to themselves and the others running parallel to the others. Tee box signs, fairway yardage signs, etc. are very helpful and nice. Plenty of drinking water on those hot days. GPS in the carts was very handy.
Favorite holes were 2,7,10,& 18. Hole 7 was by far my favorite with elevation changes from tee to green, a blind shot from the tee box, and the incredible protected green.
A lot of streams, creeks, ponds to factor in on the course. No homes on the course either. Not much difficulty to this course, greens were fair, fairways were wide. Beautifully maintained. I'd love to see this course after the upgrades are completed. Please stop and play this course when you're in SF.

Very friendly staff. Beautiful course with lots of challenges--especially if you hook or slice. This is a course you need to play more than once.
