18 hole regulation length course
72 par | 5,761 yards
The 18-hole "Red Rock" course at the Golf Club At Red Rock facility in Rapid City, South Dakota features 5,761 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Ron Farris, the Red Rock golf course opened in 2003.
Red Rock is a pretty good course to play. Many shots require accuracy and plenty of carry to be safe for your next shot. The course was in great shape from tee to green considering the drought in this region. I played in July of '12. Due to this heat it was disappointing not to have a beverage cart driving around. The GPS in the carts were great. In my mind I had built this course up to be incredible, I came away a bit let down. It just didn't live up to my expectations. I would suggest it to others to play but I caution them that it costs over $60 on a weekday to play. I don't feel that this course justifies that cost.Nice staff and tough greens save this course for me.
A nice course in the Black Hills. I played it in August 2009 and it was in good shape from tee to green and also a good value. There were some good old fashion golf holes and some interesting ones. I would definitely play it again if I am ever in the area. Don't forget to visit Mt. Rushmore.
IF IN THE AREA IT IS A MUST PLAY.
I played this course in July 2008, and I believe this is the best and most difficult course in the Blackhills area.
this course is great, the best in the Black Hills. If your visiting Rapid City and looking for a place to play, this is it. Well taken care of, great greens and challenging.
Challenging and funA very beautiful course. Lots of elevation changes. Very fair course for an average golfer. Ladies tees played nice as well. WOW, what greens, lots of undulation. I highly recommend this course.
