One of Pete Dyes finest. A True Gem Of a Golf Course. Golf at the most purest of forms! From the staff in the clubhouse to the pristine fairways and greens, this course is a must to play if in North Myrtle Beach. IT IS A LITTLE PRICEY which is the biggest drawback, but it is definately worth the cost. One of my top 3 courses to play!

Played the Die course in June of 2009 and thought it was the best of Barefoot by far. It was hands down the most difficult but it was set up really nice and had such a fun layout. I was down with 20 guys in a ryder cup format so it was impossible for that not to be an awesome time. Fazio was ok but play the Dye first and you will be tested. A few spots we not maintained but overall I would say 8/10.

Played Dye the fall it opened and thought it was awesome. Played again Sept 12th 2008 and "The Dye" is still Awesome. Great layout that has matured wonderfully. The day we played some groups ahead of us were not fixing ballmarks. Golfers, What's up with that??

Played on Friday (9-12-08) for a reduced rate ... want to play again .... greens were not in good shape due to tons of leftover scars from unrepaired ball marks ..come on fellow golfers !! ... please repair your ball marks !!

Nice but could be nicer

Just played this recently and I have to say was a bit disappointed. The layout was nice and greens were setup okay but the course wasn't really in that great of shape. It was nice but not as nice as is could be and the most disappointing was that the greens were pretty hairy. I mean, we're play the DYE course here folks, and the greens are slow. What the hell? You could tell if they would speed them up... or just freakin' mow em daily... that the swells near the greens would be eating errant shots all day. That's what I was expecting so I was a bit disapppointed in that.

Good: Course layout, plays long, plays tough overall
Bad: hairy greens, beer cart lady was like 60
Ugly: beer cart lady

Overall, I recommend playing this course, maybe I just got it on a bad day, weekend, week, whatever. I'd be willing to give it another go. In comparison however, this one is a few notches below the Barefoot Fazio course in all categories. That course is one of the best.
