We played the Wizard on 10/28 as the final round of our package, which included the sister courses (Witch and Man-O-War). The Wizard can be difficult for those who aren't hitting it straight off the tee, but the greens are the toughest part. We had rain the night before, which left the bunkers full of puddles and un-playable. All other aspects of course conditioning were immaculate. Of the three courses, the Wizard ranks a solid second (in my opinion). Price to value makes this course a must play in the Myrtle Beach area.

This place can be brutal played from the back tees, in windy conditions. A lot of dirt was moved to create this links style course, and it often makes it difficult to judge the speed and direction of the wind standing over the ball as the mounds will shield you somewhat at ground level. The primary cut of rough is very fair, but if the wind blows your shot past that, you'll be lucky just to find your ball. If you can keep the ball on the short grass, you can score here. If you find the vegetation to the sides of these holes, your score will be going up very fast.

Conditions were excellent as of 8/11/09. Overall layout from start to finish is decent. It can start to feel a little repetitive towards the end, but then 16, 17, and 18 come along and are a great finishing trio. If your in the mood for a scottish links style course, this is a good one.

The Wizard offers a nice change of pace, but I also feel the Witch is the better of the three sister courses. As with the others, look for the discounts offered and this is also a very good value.

Played here on 8/18/08 on a nice sunny day not too hot with a early tee time. Great course with some really tough holes (for me anyway) Very enjoyable place to play the staff was friendly and helpful the girl in the proshop was very nice. Tee boxes were great as were the greens not alot of sand and what there was I managed to stay out of. The way I play I was happy to keep my score under 100 however my cousin hit a 73! We paid $59 cart included. Awesome value for the $$$$. If you are in the Myrtle Beach area play here!!!

I loved playing this course, especially the 18th hole, it will make or break your round. Mine broke !!!

Fun couse to play with mostly wide open fairways. Not that difficult but the 18th finishing hole will get your attention from tee to green as it can ruin a good round with one poor shot. It's sister course "The Witch" is better.
