This was a nice course, well maintained. Like many courses in Myrtle Beach, there was not much to it. The fairways were wide, and you had to work at losing a ball; as such, you are not rewarded for hitting the ball straight any more than you are penalized for spraying the ball. I played early in the season, so the course could fill out more once the grass is provided the right conditions to grow. It was worth playing, and I would play there again.

Links style course with very little water or tree hazards which is great for long hitters who aren't precise with their aim. Staff was very nice and conditions were beautiful except for the greens which were spotty but the region just suffered one of their worst winters. The only downer for playability was that nearly every hole required your driver thus limiting the variety. Definitely plan to go back to try the other two courses onsite.

I played these legend courses in October if you can get them in the summer for $50. then i would definately play them again but not for the $108.00 price i played. Not all that difficult i dont think. Wide open and playing these courses should give your ego a boost by playing lower than your handicap.

Played em all

All 3 of the Legends resort courses are fun to play. They're challenging and have interesting layouts. Granted they are very similar, even though they claim they are not, it's still fun to play them. They don't play that long off the back but there are plenty of natural problems in your way. The Heathland course is probably the least exciting of the 3 but it's still a good play.

Overall the staff and facilities are nice, the courses are in good shape and if you get a summer deal on green fees ($45-50 or a 3 course package around $110) it's actually quite a steal. One thing I don't like is that they have to drive you to the range when you could easily drive your own cart, but the fact that the parking lot is right next to the turn on all courses makes up for it as you can sneak to the car to fill the cooler with your own alcohol... much cheaper. :)
