Course Reviews

Best experience my group had at any course all week. It was cheap, extremely well-maintained, and had a nice staff with a fun layout to boot. We will probably be playing here next year as well.

I played Myrtlewood-Palmetto as part of my rotation in the 2010 Golf.com WorldAm tournament. I was led to believe that it would be the "lowest ranked" course of the 4 I was playing, but can comfortably say it was my second favorite in the tournament. I visit Myrtle Beach at least twice a year and stay 5 minutes away from this course (River Oaks). I've always passed it by, thinking that the courses on the main drag would be chewed up from overplay. That couldn't have been further from the truth. Very few of the holes have a view of Hwy. 17, and the coure was in admirable shape. A couple of the holes play along the intracoastal waterway, and offer nice views. The only rub is that the 9th hole doesn't return to the clubhouse (but there is a "half-way" snack shack). I would definitely play the course again....

Great place. I will play there again next year.

very enjoyable course to play

A very nice course. There was a lot of mowing going on during my round that was a little bothersome.

the only complaint i have is that it has bermuda greens and they are slow and not as smooth as the bent grass greens that i normally play on. the rest of the course was good.
