Took family to play after they reopened after the renovation. The course was horrendous in every way. Packed it in after just a few holes. Not even close to being playable. The owner must be more interested in collect a few bucks instead of waiting to reopen this cow pasture when it was ready.. Good luck if you're considering teeing it up there. Dont dare ask for a rain check if you're unhappy after a couple holes. The woman running the show will tell you you're SOL. Customer service at its best! Not!

Full service pro shop, almost looks like dicks little sibling. The upgrades are great, love the driving range with lights and synthetic mats. The staff is really nice. The place is just simply the best bang for your buck....check it out.

I was pleasantly surprised. I am from central NC where dog tracks cost $28 to $32 and primos are $60 to $80. I took my father to Governors run (he lives in the area) and it cost me $47 ($26 for me and $21 for him). The course was in very good shape, it had a fun layout (lots of mounding in the rough, water in play, and strategically placed trees), and the scenery was nice. A $40 to $50 course where I am from.

Nice course, pretty good condition and a really friendly, fun crowd. If you are golfing in the Pee Dee find your way out here.

One of the better maintained courses around, and hands down the friendliest staff you will find at any course.

Great value with scoring opportunities

This is one of the better courses within 50 miles in any direction. Course is always in above average condition. Only about a third of the holes have major hazards in play from the tee, and each par 5 is reachable with 2 good shots. Compared to all other local courses, this is one of the more enjoyable and cost-friendly rounds you will find.
