I have played a number of PGA courses (Sawgrass, Torrey Pines, Firestone, TPC Louisianna) and this is the best. Everything about the place, the course and the experience is fantastic. Cannot wait to play again.

My wife and I honeymooned on Kiawah (both golfers). Played 3x on the island courses and 1x on the Ocean course. Loved how difficult and yet fair the course was. The caddy had great insight and was polite and funny. I can think of no better course nor place to be better taken care of.

Simply said...Pete Dye's Best....18 holes on the beach...Calc's Ryder Cup meltdown....this is a MUST PLAY if you haven't. 18th green is eroding away..but other than that...this is a great course and a great test of golf

The best course I have ever played and it was very tough. My score showed how tough it is on my short game. The caddies were VERY HELPFUL. The green fee was steep but in the end worth it. The sights, sounds and course made the price worth it.

This is one fantastic course. We played on a perfect day, and I had my hands full. The greens are challenging but fair. We decided to play the ending holes, starting from the par 3 from the back to understand what happened to Calcvechia in the Ryder Cup. Wow, was that a hard. Tremendous experience. hole.

This is a pretty amazing treat. The round cost me $320 and the caddy cost me another $80 in tip; but truthfully it was worth it. The course is just beautiful; the staff was amazingly friendly; the caddy was great. There is nothing I can complain about at all. As the one previous poster mentioned; you get what you pay for. Pace of play was fine for my group. We only had to wait on a few holes.

Very expensive day out, but you get what you pay for here. The paspalum greens were the best seaside greens I have ever played. Some overseeded greens have been good, but these seem like they would be great all year long. We walked with a caddie, play was slow. I would go back but not a place I would visit often due to the price and pace of play. Design, conditioning, amenities, location all add up to a great golf experience. If you can drop $500 on a round of golf, this is pretty good for the southeast coast. I would rather play here than TPC or Harbor Town which are probably the other best known destinations in that part of the country.

This is the hardest course I've ever played. It's fair, but very difficult. Recommend you bring plenty of balls and hire a caddy. The wind increases the difficulty severely. Greens are not tricked-out to make them fast because the course would get out of control at that point. We played from the tips and had a blast shooting a 94, 104, and 108 respectively. I went out the next day on another course and shot a 78. So that shows you how tough this is. The staff is extremely classy. They comp'd a bunch of Marines their round before they left for Iraq. They treat you like royalty. Love this course.

Amazing

This and Rivertowne are SC's top two public courses in my opinion. Absolutely amazing golf.
