If I could add pictures of greens I would because I couldn't believe they could be in such bad shape. Course is not maintained at all from the looks of it. Greens are spotty and almost bald. Bunkers look like dirt instead of sand. The bug problem is bad....I got bite twice on the 9th hole. Not a course you want to play by yourself. You need a spotter to help you will ball flight if your not a straight shooter and to watch out for dangerous wildlife. The best thing about this place is the 19th hole. The bar has pretty good food and you might be okay using the range. Other than that stay away....as far as you can. This is by far the worst course in the Charleston area.

Don't let the past sway you away from this course. While reserved only for military and govt workers, cevilians can get on with a sponsor. Course is in muvh better shape than previous years. While not a long, course it is very narrow, making straight shots mandatory. Bring bug spray and expect to see, deer, gators, turkeys, and other wildlife. Cannot beat it for the cost.

I have played here off and on over the last 2 years. The greens are ALWAYS HORRIBLE and the price isn't that good. If you are in the military there are many other very nice courses locally you can play for pretty much the same price.

The fourth hole mole destroys the green makes it hard to putt correctly. The waitess is very unfriendly and complains about serving you, five feet from you. For the money go somewhere else, if you are just on the way home from base then should stop and play.

A fun executive-type course. Without knowing the history of the course, it appears the front nine was built on 2 acres of land and then the back was built years later on 20 acres. The front is not tight to play but when it's full of players it can be a very, very slow pace. This is because the fairways of the first 4 holes are layed-out head-to-foot which causes players to play errant shots out of on-coming group's fairways. The front nine is comprised of one short par 3, short par fours (driver/wedge mostly) and the rest are mid to long par 3s. The back nine is fairly routine in that it's a good mix of par 3's, 4's and 5's. My only complaint about the back nine is the two par 5's are placed back-to-back. While the back nine is not overly long it will test your ability. Some of the fairways are tight and errant tee-up shots will end up in the woods or marsh. I consider #12, the course's signature hole. It is a very challenging par 4, where par is a great score and you feel good to escape with bogey. You have marsh land on both sides and you have to hit two good shots to get to the green. The greens are usually in fairly good condition, although they are usually shaggy and slow as compared to the other courses in the area. The course staff including the marshals are usually very friendly and helpful.
