Belfair, Bluffton, SC

Great use of waste bunkers and lay of the land. Fun to play while being difficult. It feels like a Fazio course, which it is. There is good history at this course...a major amateur championship was contested here in the early 2000's.

5 STARS : Although I keep submitting the rating as 5 Stars in all categories, the rating is being changed by forces beyond my control, so please disregard anything but a 5 Star rating. The review by Don Schueler was written some years ago. The greens are now MiniVerde Bermuda grass. This is a golf course that will always give you a challenge, no matter how many times you play it. Mixed with beautiful Low Country scenery and wildlife, The East Course at Belfair Golf Club will promise to please even the most avid and skilled golfer.

The East course at Belfair is unique in the fact that the greens are bent grass! This makes the East course very different from Belfair West which has bermuda greens. When these greens are "in season" meaning NOT in July/August and some Sept...they are just the BEST greens you will play. The course layout is great...really pretty equal to the West and is a great play.
