The 18-hole "West" course at the Belfair facility in Bluffton, South Carolina features 7,080 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 74.4 and it has a slope rating of 140 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Thomas Fazio, ASGCA, the West golf course opened in 1995. Troon Golf, LLC (HQ) manages this facility, with Ken Kosak as the General Manager.

Belfair West is a great track. In fact they host top amateur event on the West and have had players such as Camillo Villegas, Ben Curtis, Ricky Fowler play the event. The greens are mini verde and since they are new can be a bit hard. The layout is excellent and the pace of play is generally fast. It's a great play! The club recently cut a lot of trees down and that has taken a slight bit of the beauty away but still it is a great experience.
