Newport National Golf Club, Middletown, RI

This course is in top condition. It has the best tees I have ever seen,could serve for greens on some public courses. The fairways are tight very firm and were not in great shape being verticut made it difficult. The greens were good although I wasn't crazy about the way they were designed.Almost all were elavated surrounded by sand traps and not very big. The weather down there seems to be foggy quite often with pretty good wind. I enjoyed the course but did not think it was one of the best in the area as claimed,pretty high priced too.

I really enjoyed playing here.Course is tough but fair,you have to tnink around here as driver not needed on many holes.I played with a lady golfer and she found it very difficult as a fairly new golfer.Clubhouse is a trailer with a porch as dining room? no range on property also,with $$$ as greens fee there should be better amenities
