This is a great course to play. I live about 50 miles from this course and play it once a year. You have to get there early or you'll wait a bit to tee off. Nice layout.

Great time if you are looking for a fun golf day. Not that crowded.

If you want to kill 6 hours, have fun.

If you talk to people who live in South Park and the surrounding area, you might get the impression that they would take a bullet for this course. While I admit that it was a nice place to go for a quick 9 in the evening when I worked in the area, the course is a pain overall. Unless you want to wake up at the crack of down, you are going to wait. And you're going to wait a long time. When you walk up to the first tee to get your name on the list and/or pay, you may think Tiger Woods is on the tee with all the people sitting around watching. Fortunately, there is a restaurant where you can BS and pass the time.

The course itself gets a ton of play, and therefore is not in the best of shape. The fairways are typically hard, and in some places resemble ground under repair more than fairway. On holes 3 and 4, huge parts of the fairway are roped off as GUR. You are almost better off hitting into the rough. Some of the greens are bad, too. The last time I was there, hole 10's green was barely playable. The majority of holes are up and down, up and down, so get a cart.

I don't know... in my opinion there are much better options that you'll only have to pay $5 more to play. I guess if you forgot to get a tee time, you can try to get on at South Park. I personally would rather front the extra $5 and go somewhere you can relax.

I like this course. It's not usually crowded on weekends. My buddies and I usually show up, put our names on the list and grab a bite to eat while we smack talk and BS. Bring the sunscreen on the sunny days. This one leaves me tired, but wanting more. I prefer the 18 to the 9, but the 9 is alright if you don't have the time or energy for the 18. Get out and Golf.
