I try if at all possible not to trash a course...and the back nine of this course was scenic and enjoyable. But... When I arrived, I did not wear the proper attire which was not a big deal...I had a golf attire along. Then I tried to use my tee-time golf pass book which I was questioned about twice. Just honor your **** coupons!!! I was reminded that this is a "semi-private" course and then was scolded for not arranging a tee time though I just came here on the spur of the moment. My round was screwed before I ever left the clubhouse. I was never treated like this anywhere else. Greens are hold...hit in front on the fly...still over. Front nine boring...ugly set-up. Hit a drive on 10...watched a perfect placed tee-shot hit the very middle of the fairway and one bounce later...was in the right rough and rolled into trees...another golfer says "that happens all the time"...not in my book it doesn't...not in April. The next 7 holes salvaged a miserable time. No return trip planned for me!

If you want no sand in the traps, horrible tees, OK fairways and touch and go greens you got the right place. Get to overpay for it too. I hear the members are treated pretty poorly as well.

Greens were very bumpy but quick. Rough and fairways were in good shape. Bunkers were nice. Not very challenging though and way too pricy. Not a good value.

Mediocre course at best for $50. Played much better courses for the same amount of money.

Very nice, treelined golf course. The front is tight with some demanding tee shots. Back is a little for wide open but a bit tougher. Very nice fairways, and quick greens.

OK course, but not worth the money.

What an aweful course!!!

I can't believe that I just payed $51 to play this course. The owners obviously don't know the first thing about golf course maintenance or the golf business in general.I've never played a course in such bad shape. It took close to 5 hours to play it.

There are a few greens that are almost unplayable. A few are puttable and all are inconsistant. A full wedge shot to them can stop dead or bounce 3 feet in the air.It doesn't look like anyone fixes ball marks. There are footprints everywhere.

The tees and fairways are all very chewed up. There are cart tracks everywhere.

I don't know what's in the traps, but it's not sand. It seems to be a thin layer of sand with a clay base.

The bathrooms are filthy, both on and off of the course. I was afraid to eat in the restaurant. It seemed clean but I didn't want to take a chance.

There are many golf courses in the area and all of them are in better shape than this one. Save your money and your time.

Decent Course

I have been here 2 times and the greens have been very nice with the fairways in very good condtion. Overall I would have to say this is in the top 2 public courses in the county.

As a private course, Oakview (formerly Armco GC) was a well conditioned course and a genuine pleasure to play. The course went public a few years ago and went straight downhill. Save your time and money and play somewhere else. The day I played, the greens were bumpy and rock hard. There are cart track marks all over the course.
