Course Reviews

I have played this course once or twice a year for the last twenty years. Played it today and found it in all around great shape. Looks like they are putting money in to the course.

Pickering Valley has a wonderful layout wasted by how poorly they take care of the course. I mean, there are are some really cool holes, unique and interesting that could and should be a blast playing. However, it's obvious only the fairways are cut and any ball off of it is in serious jeopardy of never being found again, not just by you, but by any golfer ever. It's soooo sad. The value of $22 to walk weekend twilight seems reasonable, but again, it's not based on the conditions. The greens are good, average speed and true, and they do have logo balls for the collector like myself. I'm happy about that because now that I have one I will not be returning. Whoever would say this course is worth playing must play once a year, go see for yourself if you dare. I just can't emphasize enough how upsetting it is to see what could be an awesome course just wasting away by the non-existent maintainance...a travesty. Overall rating D.

A decent course, I enjoyed playing here. Considering the price though, I was expecting a better maintained course.

Good course for the price compared to other courses in the Phila area...I've played numerous times and never experienced any bad conditions, it's not in top course shape but it's comparable to other courses in the area....layout is good with some elevation changes, the open front and tight tree lined back that has some really tough holes...clubhouse is pretty old and run down looking but i'm not going to a course for the clubhouse experience, I go to play golf....solid, underated course that's one of the best values in town

I went here off-season and the views are beautiful! Wide open fairways, maintence is average. I really like this course because errant tee shots (which I tend to hit)won't hurt you that much. I also like the fact that there are not that many blind fairways, that is a pet peeve of mine. A very good course for beginners to average golfers (which is what I am). The only negative thing I can say is the course is way to hilly for my tastes, you need to be able to know how to hit off uphill and downhill lies. If you don't know how to do that then DO NOT play this course!

This was a nice to play first thing in the morning because no one was in front of us. That's all that was nice. It was poorly groomed. Play somewhere else you will enjoy it anywhere else but here.

Have played this occasionally for years, and the conditions continually deteriorate: atrocious tees (particularly the blues), fairways like my unweeded back yard, patchy rough, muddy bunkers, and bumpy greens. Unfortunate because there really are some excellently designed holes. The staff, while friendly, seems to want to cram as many players on the course as possible. My last round there (Saturday AM tee time) took 6 hours (!!) as groups were allowed to tee off barely before the previous group cleared. All in all, not worth it, and I won't be returning.

all this is crap this course is nice for any golfer...seriously stop @$!*%in and just play here...great people run it...nice course...always fun

horrible condition, not worth the 29$ to ride a twilight

A challenging and entertaining course with lots of tight holes. Very hilly, wouldn't recommend walking. Maintenance needs a little help though.

Wasted land

Could be a great course, but owners don't really care about maintenance. Tee boxes are brown by June and greens are horrible all year round.
