My expectation for this course was indeed exceeded...nice tract...short front but par 36...longer back but par 35. First recommendation very accurate except that the staff was very friendly to the point that I was able to borrow a push cart from the club pro. Course was in wonderful condition (Oct. 3rd) but soggy after overnight rain. The four sets of tees offered fair rounds for everyone including my 14 year old son. Holes 13 and 14 are the most difficult with Lost Creek coming into play on 14's approach. Some lengthy Par 3s and the par 5 18th hole is 587 from the white tees. This is country golf at its best with wonderful views of the nearby mountains , some framing the pins in the backdrop! This is a definite stop on the way to Penn State!

The course is getting nicer and they are updating some things out on the course. Since Shawn has become the pro a lot of things have changed. I would definitely recommend playing this course if you like a small challenge!

Course will give a relaxing day of golf

Once you get out of the pro shop you'll day will be peaceful. I didn't prefer the people in the pro shop because they acted as if you were a bother to them. I've played here before this most recent time and they were always friendly. However, the course is an open course that allows for mistakes. Lost Creek meanders through the course and comes into play on some holes, but poses as little threat. Probably hole #2 and #14 are the only holes that can be a problem based on the creek. The greens are rather large and are relatively flat. They hold well and putt true. They are not extremely fast or slow. This is true for most of the course. Not easy, but not difficult. I played there and started out with back to back triple bogeys (don't ask), but still managed to shoot a 78. Don't get fooled on the first hole. When you look at the yardage markers and where you are, trust the yardage markers. I thought they were wrong and I jumped up a club. I hit my ball into some grass that was about 3 feet high. I hacked it out, eventually, and took a nice 7. Anyhow, it's definitely a course I would recommend.
