Nice little course. Played for the first time last year. Went back one more time and looking for more in the future. Nothing fancy about this one. Just emjoyed a nice day on the course. Not alot of volume so it was nice to take your time. Holes around rail road tracks didn't leave much of an impression but rest of course was nicely kept. Little odd on the lay out though where you had to zig zag from green to tee or even back track a complete hole(#8).

This is a great course to walk.Relatively flat, with a few small hills to negotiate and a nice breeze off the Susquehanna River. It isn't very long, but very tight in spots.Holes 3,7,and 8 come to mind. And #'s 10 and 18 are unique in that water is in play,4 sides on 10,and all along the left side on 18.As stated, the dogs do run,but are very friendly,as is the staff, who make you feel like family.all in all,a great time to be had to all who come and play.

If you’re looking for a relaxed atmosphere much like “Cheers” this is the place. Yes, the course is a little tight in spots, but the over all enjoyment is truly worth going for. I have never met a foul individual during my time there. (7 months) Other courses may be in a little better condition, but Arnold’s does not have the stout attitude that you encounter at many other area courses. The owners and staff are friendly and courteous. If you’ve never been there, try it. Green fees are comparable and well worth it with the scenery and friendships you will encounter. Some holes are a cake walk while a lot will make you wonder how you read it wrong. So be sure to take a Mulligan bag.

Fun course, not a cake walk. Lunch time special is worth it. Gets dried out, fairways not watered enough.

There were 2 dogs running all over the course when I last played, so yes it really is a dog track! It also has a somewhat random course layout, the holes are sort of all over the place. But it also has some good points. There are tight fairways that test you, but also open ones that are forgiving. The fairways are not manicured, but the greens are not bad at all. There is water on several holes, and the riverside scenery is unique...there are trestles, bridges and railroad tracks. Bottom line... it is a very laid back, casual, heavily used municipal style course that you can really score well on, but may bite you here and there. I have alot of friends who play here very often. It's not great, but it beats a poke in the eye.

there improving even with the flood covering the whole golf course

Reviewed July 24, 2007

This course is simply a dog track. It's been flooded numerous times and is poorly managed. The fairways are pretty narrow with holes 3 & 7 hitting into each other. Most holes are pretty basic with little or no challenge at all.
