I've played this course about 3 times and I've never seen it in good condition. It has great potential. The layout is not bad at all and the way the holes bend are asthetic but it has horrible drainage and no attention has been paid to the areas just beyond the rough to the point that they are an eyesore. Maintenace is needed on almost every hole. Save your money and go to Rich Valley which is like 2 miles away!

Living within minutes of this course, I was a little disappointed. No problem getting on the course and twilight rate was $20 with a cart. My neighbor and myself went he had been there before, so he knew the way to holes, but had I been by myself, I would have had a tough time. Holes not marked very well. Several tee boxes needed softened up, needed a hammer to get the tee in the ground. Fairways were in decent shape. Greens were well maintained and very fast for the most part. The 2 times I found the sand, it was very hard. Cart paths were rough and are mostly just stone. This course would be very tough to walk, lots of dips and hills. Couple greens on the back had goose poop, but wasn't unplayable.

Front 9 has some of the best scoring opportunities, especially the first two holes. #10, #11, and #12 are all par 3s and very deceiving and difficult. I really enjoyed the back 9. Pretty short course, needs some water. Not sure I'd pay the full rate for the course given a few of the other courses I've played in the area. Probably a good place to play after a rain.

I was hoping for a little better quality given my location.

The scenery is the only saving grace here. This is the course you play if the tee times are filled at all of the other course in the area and you are on a strict time limit.

Staff was very rude...felt like teeing off on the man at the register in the proshop before I even started golfing. After that, it was a beautiful day of golf. Greens were in suprisingly excellent condition, fairways decent, scenery excellent, but a little expensive. Would recommend, but expect to be treated like a red-headed stepchild when entering the proshop.

There are better in the area

This course is too expensive for what it is. Either lower the rates are make it nicer.

Short but deceptive course. Though it's a par 70 course and the holes are relatively short, there is a lot of danger lurking just off the fairway. The fairways are tight with trees lining the edges and if you are not familiar with the layout, you will find the numerous small ponds eventually. The course isn't the best marked- had to ask for directions (not a male thing) to some holes. Some tee areas are in poor shape also. The ranger spent his day practing putts and driving on available holes. But the course itself was interesting enough. Hole number one has a beautiful approach to the green over a ravine and the ninth hole sets up as one of the most picturesque in the area. It's not a top of the line course, but will offer a unique challenge if you don't hit the ball straight.

More Negatives

than positives. Staff rude, course not maintained. Markers are not even close to correct. Not recommended.
