This course is always well maintained, and the staff is very friendly. great Value and the greens and fairways are the best in the area.

The greens and fairways are really well conditioned. The people are nice and the restaurant food is good. But there are some blind shots and some narrow holes which make the course less than championship caliber. I rate it B-minus.

If you're looking for a good public course with reasonable rates in the South Hills Pittsburgh area then you should definitely check out Village Green. The Pro Shop is very small with a limited selection but you're probably not looking to shop anyway. I payed $33 for 18 holes with cart and found it to be worth every penny. It took just over three hours to play 18 on a Monday morning and the course was maintained beautifully. The tee boxes are flat, wide, and have little wear. The greens are fair and fast but somewhat flat. The course has its fair share of hills and elevation changes but not too severe especially considering that it's located in Southwestern PA. There are three or four of holes that have forced water carries and most of the fairways are tree-lined. The course is located amongst rolling hills rural farmland and the scenery is beautiful. The bunkers could've been in better shape but overall I would rate this course a solid 8 out of 10 in terms of value. It is nicer than some of the private country clubs I've played in Pittsburgh that charge upwards of $60 a round.

A well manicured course with many interesting holes. By far, the best value course in the area. Lots of trouble for misplaces drives. To score well placement is everything. Have fun!
