Conditions less than desirable this past weekend - everything hard as a rock -- for $65, there should be sand in the bunkers and watering the fairways and greens would help. Like playing on a parking lot.

If you live within an hour or so of this course make the drive. A few quirky holes but they usually keep in very good condition with fast greens.

Played this course today and found it in good shape except the greens. Most of them are showing signs of disease. I have played this course 4 or 5 times in the last 5 years and this was the first time the greens were not in excellent condition.

Greens were very smooth and accepting. Course was in very good shape, and a fantastic deal. Definitely will be returning.

The course was in good shape given the lack of rain we have had. Even the rough was still green. Most of the fairways are wide and inviting. The trees still need a few years of growing before they will become a major factor, but they do a good job of delineating the fairways. The bunkers were hard on the day I played, so they didn't really play as sand traps. Don't over-read the greens, most putts are fairly straight. Overall a very scenic course in good shape for not too much money. Will certainly play here again.

One of my favorite courses. I love the scenery and elevation changes. I played on a Saturday morning and the course was quiet and played at a nice pace. The condition was excellent. I look forward to getting back to Golden Oaks soon!

Great all around, a excellent experience golfing!

This course is about as good as it gets. Not just for a public course. In the dead of summer peak the greens are as consistent as any around. The grass is full and the rough is perfect. No problems with pace. They flight tee times a little close together but after about three holes it is not an issue. Worth the drive and worth the money.

Nice Course

This was a very nice course that i will definitely return too. It was well maintained and fun to play. It was not overly challenging but it had its moments. My only complaint was that the course was just packed with players creating log jams and slowing play. They should try to spread out their tee times a little better to make it more enjoyable. I don't like being forced to play a hole and catch up to 1 or 2 groups at the tee box of the next hole waiting to tee off.

Club Pro Needs Some Customer Service Training

I played this course with my brother. I found the course to be well maintained and a good challenge. The layout is terrific and the holes are nicely lined with trees allowing for a nice seperation of holes. Water comes into play on five of the holes and bunkers are located in many challenging areas. The greens were well maintained and were not difficult to read. We were having a terrific round until the 14th hole when we were approched by the golf pro. On the front nine we were sandwiched between a foursome behind us and a threesome in front of us. Do to some slow players in front we ran into the threesome a few times and talked and joked with them. The foursome behind us never caught up to us. At the turn after the ninth hole I noticed that two walkers snuck in behind us and knew it would cause trouble. At the 14th teebox we were approached by a woman on a cart, she skipped any normal pleasantry one would expect from the course pro and instead informed us she was pairing us with the two players behind us. When I said I would prefer not to she went on to say they were members of the club who had without permission skipped onto the tenth hole and were causing problems with their slow play. I again declined as I did not want two walkers joining me on the 14th hole, also at this time they had not even chipped onto the 13th green. She got a bit nasty and said that the course was there to make money and she could pair us up with who she pleased. I told her she was correct but if she did that instead of correcting the members poor behavior I would not return to the course. At this point she stormed off and went to the other golfers and told them she was taking them back to the first tee. Thus I was allowed to finish my round with my brother, however it left a bad taste in my mouth. The pro was rude and unprofessional, we had paid our fees and I don't need to hear about their need to make money. Also, I would expect a pro in that situation to ask how our round was and ask our for our help, not tell us what was going to be done. I would go back as the course was terrific but I certainly hope they upgrade their pro and take their customers like customers.
