I may be a bit biased as I grew up on this course. My parents home is about 50ft from the first tee. The course is public, but mainly played by the 300 or so members. Members have some entitlement and many own and maintain there own golf carts on the course.

It is a short challenging course that starts out wide open and forgiving. After the first 5 holes, errant tee shots are severely punished and the pin placement can be downright evil at times.

I spent my highschool years working as as assistant greenskeeper here and have to tell you that there is a lot of character in this course and it can certainly reward good play, straight play.

I have since moved away from Falls, and am currently a member at a local fancy pants golf course. I maintain my membership at Emanon to play with friends and family from yesteryear and I have to say that I enjoy playing there as much as my super exclusive country club 20 miles away.

If you are looking for a challenge and not a super long course Emanon has a lot of character, is quite remote, great vista views of country scenes and a recent addition is the new clubhouse. Good people, good food and great golf is what Emanon is. It is a hidden jewel and a secret place for people of the Wyoming Valley to enjoy and enjoy her they do.

VERY short course with a few hokey holes and members that jump all over the place. Other than that, good value in decent shape.

Played today for the first time despite living only about 15 minutes away. I'm kicking myself for not taking the chance years ago to give it a shop despite playing just about every course in NEPA. The course was a real joy to play. The conditions were very good although some of the greens looked like they were recenelty airated. The course starts off slow as the first 4 holes are straight forward and flat but after that the course shines. One interesting note is the front has 4 par 3's and plays at a 32 while the back has 0 and plays at a 39. Holes #11-#18 are one of the nicest collections of wooded holes you'll find in NEPA. Emanon is not a long course but if you spray your tee shots you could be in for a long long. I highly recommand giving this place a shot if you enjoy Stone Hedge, Wilkes Barre Muni. I paid $23 for 18 and cart and i feel like i robbed the place.

My friend John and I played Emanon in November of 07'. The course was undergoing maintenance, with work on #11 green and some underbrush clearing. It was nonetheless a nice experience. The guys in the "pro-shop" were very friendly, and seemed genuinely interested in the fact that we had driven over an hour (from Binghamton) to play there. We were on kind of a tight schedule (due to some wrong turns-which I'll explain later), so we didn't get a chance to rate the bar/grille. The carts were gas powered and in good shape. We had to play from temporary tee boxes, but you could see that the regular tee boxes were level and normally well maintained. The first few holes are short, and fairly unimaginative. But, as you progress toward the back 9, they really start to shine. Hole 11 (which was closed for green maintenance) was something out of a golf calendar...truly beautiful. Several of the following holes were darned nice too. Emanon has a mixture of trouble for the errant shooter. Sand, water, rough and blind greens can whittle away at your aspirations for a great round. This is the type of course that you will score much better on the second time around. The fairways and greens were immaculate. Some of the greens had odd breaks, that lead to 3 and 4 putts (again-course knowledge...). FINDING Emanon is the real challenge though, and my only gripe. Googlemaps gave good directions, but the signs at the very end of the journey (Church Street etc.) are the old school type that have probably been up there for 30 or more years. The course really needs to put up more signage. Other than that, I highly recommend it.

Very nice course, weird tee box placements on some holes. Great value, it is maintained like the country club that it is, but only $20 for a nonmember to play. Will definately return.
