Greens and fariways were nice. Tees were good but not outstanding. I think it is a good value. My preference is a course that is not so open.

I really didn't think that much of this course. It's true that the rough is easy and the lies aren't bad. Also the greens afe fairly true. But the course layout is pretty basic. For such a nice hilly area in PA I'd have expected a few holes that were interesting and took advantage of the land, but most are wide open, wide fairways and pretty flat. the only challenge I found was that the whites are about 6500 long. I'd gladly give up a few yards for some more interesting holes.

My Group's Favorite Course

I played this course for the first time last year and have been back 3 times. My group had always told me that this was a terrific course. They didn't lie. I was very impressed with everything about the place. The politeness of the pro shop. Jesse was extremely friendly. The cost of getting a meal after our round was sensational. You didn't pay the jacked up prices of a country club.

As for the course, you never seem to get a bad lie. If the ball is in the rough, you don't have to worry because the grass is fully grown in. The greens were incredible. The are very, very, very slick (which really killed my game), but I still liked them. The course is mostly wide open, but there are some trees to get behind. I cannot say enough about this course and I look forward to returning later this year to play it again.

Greg- Greencastle

Golfing in crowds, winter rates...gotta love it! This is a nice mid-level golf course...not a resort, but not a piece of field land either. It is hard to judge maintenance at this time of year...but I loved the marble benches and tee diaramas. The fairways and rough were very identifiable. Very straight with limited dog-legs and very open terrain made for a fairly easy but delightful round of golf. Holes that played towards the mountain beyond were the most scenic (the par 4 fourth, the par 3 5th, and the par 5 14th) though the hardest hole, the par 4 16th, was perhaps the prettiest and the most challenging on the course. The lay-out is rather simple, mostly back and forth, but the scattering of pines were a nice touch. If you are looking for hills, go elsewhere! Amazing that a course this flat is in Bedford County. It's just one of those courses though that gives you a real sense of country golf. I will be back again for this one!

Better than expected.

Course located just off Rt 30 between Breezewood and Bedford. Course in VG condition despite recent rains. Greens fast and true. Excellent value. Will play it again someday.
