The 9-hole "Blue" course at the Arrowhead Golf Course facility in Douglassville, Pennsylvania features 2,638 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 35. Designed by John McLean, the Blue golf course opened in 1955.
Although this is a nine hole course, it has some distance in its holes. The course greens are excellent. Best part is the cost, it is cheap to play. Great course to get 9 in after work.
This course is simple beyond words. It has one interesting hole (#4) in which your teeshot must go left if you are to miss some moderate sized gullies into which the fairway slopes. I reached most of the holes with a drive and a short iron. On several par-4s I hit a driver and then a 9 or a wedge and, in my 60s, I don't boom drives anymore. It is great for practice, though, and not very expensive.
