This course is an engineering marvel. It's built around the top of a large hill! It's fairly short. But plays longer due to elevation changes. Great variety of holes. You must know yardages on this course or you could hit a great shot and end up in a ravine. The course is always in great shape. Greens consistent. If you like target golf and don't spray the ball this is an enjoyable course.

Horrible horrible course. Large degree of difficulty on a poorly maintained course run by awful people. Golfed for less than 2 holes on our round before getting completely rained out. They PRO RATED US for holes played and made us come back. Horrible. Never returning.

Nice views. New GPS golf cart was awesome!

A challenging, shot-maker's golf course... Yeah right! This is a poor excuse for bad layout. I didn't play badly, but this was the least enjoyable round of golf I have played.

Mountain goat golf. Terrible, target golf on front. Zero room for error. Lots of unsafe cart paths due to drop offs.

Way too hilly for me. Nice views but I'd rather spend my money on a course that wasn't crammed into the side of a hill. Slow play is sometimes a problem here.

Target golf with a great view of the old Pittsburgh mill. Crazy layout for the grades! We had fun, but may have paid too much

Course was in great shape. Greens were excellent, fairways very nice. There is a range and a practice green. The view is indeed grand. The only advice I have to offer is you need to be on to play here. Each tee shot demands a fade or draw and if you cannot generate these on command best to look elsewhere.

Not worth it. an insane layout . I just can't figure out the mentality that went behind this layout. Draconian type penalties for slightly errant shots. i think this is a waste of $$$ for anyone who is a mid to high handicap. The side hill lies the narrow fairways. UGH. sorry but a waste

This course is in a class by itself for being bizarre. Its a golf experience like no other. That can be good. That can be bad. It depends on how you look at it. Caution would be the watchword here because a stray shot in penalized greatly and the norm here would be to lose 8-12 strokes a round on this course from shots only slightly off line. The penalties are severe and there's no recovery from gullies, ditches ravines, and brush as dense as a rain forest. That being said, the layout is unique and anyone that knows how to manage their game off the tee could score really low here but that's a challenge most cannot conquer and even the low handicappers might struggle here as a few fairways are only wide enough for 2 golf carts. I exaggerate of course but you get my drift. Using a driver here on most holes borders on ridiculous because accuracy is a premium. But, there's a great variety of holes here and great variety of shots that need be played. All this said its a very serene experience, beautiful scenery and the course is kept in very good condition. Plus there's something to be said occupying space on the near highest point of elevation in the county. Greens fees are modest by today's standards but if you have a low boiling point I'd think twice because this place will frustrate you to no end.

I had heard about this renowned course from a lot of guys I work with. They have always said that if you go make sure you take no less than a dozen balls and take 2 dozen to be safe. This coourse has tight fairways surrounded by cliffs, canyons, brush and trees that will completely consume your entire collection of balls if you don't play it safe. A lot of nice dog legs and hole 14 has an elevation drop of over 100 feet making it deceptively difficult to hit the green. I am a bogey golfer for sure but this course was a blast and has helped me look forward to something a little easier. Of course after playing a course like Grandview, everything will seem easier. Atop the city is an amazing place to play and is worth every penny. If you are in the "Burgh" make sure you stop at Grandview for a quick round. And make sure that you use a cart unless you want the workout of your life. Without a cart...only play 9 holes.

It'll make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will make you say WTF!?!?!?!? Its grandview, and you'll experience it all on this course. I dont think it would be all that tough if you just used your head and kept it on the fairway. Thats a big if, becuase if you miss youll end up in a huge gully or in some crazy bushes. It's a heck of a place to play and everyone should play it once.

This is the course you love to hate. Any part of your game that is not working, this course will bring it out. It is definitely not a grip it and rip it course. The scenery and the clubhouse makes it worth the trip alone, but add in some very challenging golf ot the mix and you have the perfect experience.

Amazing view of the city

A very tight course, so hit your safest club. Nice bar and restaurant for after play. Great prices after two and twilight. Truly a beautiful course with cheap beer and a beer cart.

By far the most difficult golf course i have ever played. it is as much of a paradox as is possible for a golf course. As difficult as it is too play it is also that much of a serene experience with the beautiful views and excellent maintaince i have not seen a public golf course as well maintained as this one. Just to give u an example of how hard it is About 6 years ago they had a bucket of balls as u came in that were free to take if u lost all your balls. I am not a very good golfer usually scoring between 87-95 but someone whom is very precise could score prolly a low 80 or high 70's

Grandview is a course that you'll love to hate! It's beautiful - offering some great views - and challenging as heck to play. Play here often enough and you will learn what "course management" is, or you'll be buying a lot of balls! This course will improve your play elsewhere, and challenge players of all skill levels, but especially the novices. It is very well maintained, the clubhouse is great as is the food and service, but the pro shop needs more offerings. Grandview is a "Must play" course...just to see if you're as good a golfer as you think you are.
