Nice flat course. Only 2 holes that have elevation changes (4&5). Water does come into play on a number of holes. Previous post left good description of holes. Only one draw back was female from counter came to tell me on the first hole that they don't "allow teaching" there since the first shot of the day didn't go in the hole for a first time player. Ruined the day for the 4 people in the party. When they went back to counter to complain, this lady swore she never said anything like that. Since that time have not encountered any problems. Always look forward to going back.

We called on Wednesday to make a tee time for Saturday and were told that weekends are walk in only, no tee times. Good we’ll go and get on when we can. At 9:00am we showed up and went to the bar to get some drinks to take with us. The staff member said “What do you want?” Not a good start to the day. After that we went to the pro shop to pay our green fees. We were told that we had to have a tee time on weekends. I explain that we had called and were told that there were no tee times on weekends. The staff member said that this would never happen and that we may be able to get on at 2:00pm. I continued to try to explain that I had called, but was told that there are no tee times and that we had drove 70 miles to play this course. He called me a liar about being told that there are no tee times. At this point we decided that we will never return and walked out.

Simple, but challenging!

My home course -- I've not only played at this course for years, I've also worked here! This is truely a hidden gem for golfers looking for a beautiful challenge!

The course is not very long (only about 5500 yrds - par 70 from whites), but low scores are still a challenge!

For the most part, the front features longer, winder holes. The two hardest holes for league players were:

#3 - a difficult par 4 with water nearly the whole way up the right side.

#5 - a 430 yard par 4 going uphill with woods on both sides.

The back 9 is shorter and tighter. AND, on 7 out of 9 holes, water comes into play!

#13 is a sharp dogleg to the right with two ponds you have to carefully negotitate

#16, or as we like to refer to as 'the monster', is a 520 yard par 5 that always tests the skills with its abundant water and OB placement

They've had some problems in the past with keeping the course watered and playable, but it has come under new maintenance and looks wonderful!

The course is nestled between a range of large hills and a creek which makes it dazzle in the autumn with the array of colors and cool, fall breeze.

Pro shop is OK and restaurant serves good food (when it's open). Has a nice practice range and green to get warmed up with.

They have recently changed the way that carts could drive on the course. Some holes made golfers walk A MILE to get to their shots, now that it's changed, play is much smoother.

Prices are adequate. Rule of thumb, the longer you wait, the cheaper it is. Weekends can get ridiculously crowded around Fourth of July (campers + golfers = way too many people!). Course is pretty flat so you can easily walk it if you wanted to go the cheaper route.

Overall, a great course waiting to be conquered! The layout is simple, but you'll remember each hole either for it's unique design or for it's spendid views. Go play!

Great place to play!

This course is so beautiful and has the most amazing scenary I've ever seen for the area with blue ridge a close second. The course is not extremely long but put the ball in play or you will suffer. Everything is first class. The only dislike i have is the price for someone to simply ride along in the cart its 18 compared to 1 or 2 dollars others charge. Other than that its spectacular.
