I was told by many people that this course was a great course and how it was one of the best public courses in the area. When i got to the course I was not looking at an avg golf course. Greens were super slow the day i played and the course played realy short. You can drive 5 of the par 4's if you can hit 300 yards off the tee. Not one bunker on the course also. With that said it was a fun course to play with my friends that don't get to play much.. but i wouldn't go out of your way to dive to it again.

Chippewa is a great course for the beginner thru average golfer. If you are a 10 handicaper you will find this course quite easy. But for $36 you golf 18 with a cart on a course that is maintained as good as most much more expensive courses. There are a few water hazards, but you have to hit the ball pretty bad for them to come into play, no sand traps. If you cant drive the ball straight though, you will find your self behind trees all day. Some of the fairways have narrow landing areas with trees on both sides. I love this course play there a couple times per week. Not much of a clubhouse to speak of, Hot dogs, chips, some drinks, and beer. If your looking for some practice go early in the day during the week, not many people there, and thell let you play a couple balls if you would like or just hang out and practice on one of the holes. just dont hold anyone else up. stats at top of page are wrong.
white tees.....5567 yards...slope 117...rating 65.6

The folks here are just that, "folks",you'll enjoy them. The course is in great shape, would be much better if you could get the player to fix their ball marks.Do your scoring on the easier front nine because the greens on the back side will give you all you can handle.Legnth is not important but keeping it in the fairway is,the May rains have really thickened up the rough. A fairway wood off the tee is a good option on a lot of holes to keep it in the fairway. On the back nine...DO NOT GET ABOVE THE HOLE ! If the pin is up,play short,a simple pitch is a much better play than trying to putt from above the flag.I honestly do believe it is time for the owners to consider some well placed sand traps tho. I know maintenance is a pain with bunkers but,I think it's time. All in on all,its a great value and the course is generally in great shape and I can almost promise you that you'll have a great time.

Chippewa: A well maintained 18-hole golf course

Chippewa is a pretty nice little 18 hole course. It is not what I would call a true test of golf for better players, but is really nicely maintained and is a pleasurable experience. It has a nice clubhouse, and the golf carts seem to run well. Some of the par 4 holes are a bit on the short side. There is some trouble on the back nine, but if you are hitting it true then you can expect to score pretty well. One of the better small courses in this area.
