Played this course for the first time and was very impressed. Great/friendly staff and a great layout made for an enjoyable outing. Fairways and greens were in great shape, and the water hazards on the back nine may cost you a ball if you are not careful.
Had a sandwich and a drink in the lounge/restaurant after my round and watched the US beat Ghana in their first round World Cup matchup. I was a little bit disappointed that there was no locker room in the clubhouse, but all in all a real treat of a public course for the Pittsburgh area.
EDIT: Something seems to be wrong with the star-rating system - I rate this course as 3 stars overall. Submitted and edited twice and my ratings are changing on their own after the review is submitted.

Very nice staff. Course was in average condition in Nov. 2009. There are many picturesque holes on this course and it was only $21 on a Sunday with a cart. Anyone that complains about this course is an idiot. They should try living elsewhere and playing a comparable course for $75. I've played MANY more courses that cost 50-100% more that either aren't as pretty or aren't as conditioned. It probably gets crowded and therefore slow in the summer but, again, I've had my share of 5 hour, $75 rounds too. It's worth playing to make your own decisions-you'll probably go back.

As a newer golfer this course has some value. It plays pretty long...and was in relatively good shape when I played it. My only gripe is that the cart paths need repaved, especially in areas where you must ride on them. They are heaved and broken in many places. Overall though...the greens and fairways were firm and fast and looked nice. Staff was nice too and very cooperative in getting me out for an early morning round before work. I'll play here again.

In early May I could not have asked for a better course to get back into golf shape. The holes are very challenging at times and if you miss the fairways off the tees your looking at bogey for sure. Pick your angles for your second shot off the tee to score well. I can not wait until the summer when the tree leaves are full because it will definitely make the course tighter. I would play this course over and over in the future!!!!

This is probably my least favorite course in the pittsburgh area. The place is inexpensive, which explains why people are there. There is no practice facility. The place was in bad shape. I played in the end of march - but mowers still work in march. The tee boxes are uneven. The fairways beaten. The greens were alright. The layout, outside of a few holes, is boring. You play across the same hill over and over. I have no plan to return and only played because someone else had invited me.

It is an ok course, but the staff is very rude and you have to avoid geese poop every step you go. The many trees make it challenging.

Ok course, don't bother talking to any of the staff though. Very nice large greens. play from the pro tees makes for a nice round of golf that you can use every club in your bag.

The worst conditioned course I've ever played. There is many other courses in the area that are much better for a much cheaper price.

This course was very disappointing for me. I just played it the other day in the middle of summer and it was in absolutely terrible condition. For the length of the course, which is nice for the big hitter, the way they take care of it is absolutely terrible. I wanted just to walk off the course the whole time. It felt as if they hadnt cut the grass or rough in ages and I was overall very upset with this course.
