I played this course on 4/30/17 and the place was absolutely UNDER WATER!! They gave us $10 off the price because the 'range was closed'. The course itself should have been closed. They never should have let us play in those conditions. I'm not blaming the weather on them but the rough was 6-8" long and hadn't been mowed in weeks. Every tee shot plugged in the fairway, sometimes being lost. Any time you hit a shot in the rough there was no chance of finding it unless you stepped on it. There really is no better way to describe the place as completely unplayable. They should have given us free carts and 50% off the round price. I have honestly never played in sloppier conditions. Complete disappointment. The ghost creek course wasn't even that interesting in terms of layout either. I don't know how this place gets major tournaments unless of course they play them at the adjacent Witch Hollow private course. One of the biggest golf disappointments I've ever had....had just spent a week at Bandon Dunes so it was even more depressing to play here.

Best public course in Portland. Lovely scenery and superb design. Great variety of holes. Good deals in winter.

Played on 5.15.10 and unfortunately the course (greens and fairways) were aerated. But the first nine is definetely the best. I love it, great challenge and design.

I will be back when the course is in top shape.

I recommend this course to all players. Fun and relaxing place to play. Really alone in the woods. Great golf experience.
The day was perfect.

Have fun!

Very challenging course.

Good course to play overall if you enjoy a challenge.

I must agree that the service on the public side may leave you wanting, in light of the price. I don't consider myself to be too critical in this regard, so I consider it decent.

bad service

No one mans bag drop either coming or going. On a 91 degree day with no breeze carts had both front and back windshield covers on, CART PATH ONLY (although they don't tell you this until after you have a cart), slow play. On the day that I played women in US Amateur were playing on adjacent Pumpkin Ridge course (which you never see) so Ghost Creek only provided beverage cart service for nine holes because they didn't want the sound to upset the practicing (just a practice round) amateur players. SO....no liquid at all for 9+ holes...but nobody tells you this. Very over-priced and the staff is way too proud of who they are. In my opinion, they have no idea of how to deliver service to customers, all of whom pay high fees. Save your money.

A "must" play course

Ghost Creek is a bit more forgiving than it's private sister course, Witch Hollow. It's also more fun to play on a regular basis. Ghost rewards good play with good scores and is not unduly penal. Wonderful architecture and scenery. Consistently high quality maintenance and amenities. Can be a bit expensive but worth it !!
