Vacationing from out of state, we booked a week in advance. No where in the booking did it state call to reserve a cart. However, when we checked in and requested a cart (10) available outside, we were told our ONLY option was to walk! This course is extremely elevated and changes level frequently. We've never had an issue renting a cart ANYWHERE before! The front desk was extremely rude and told us she couldn't even refund us our round. That we'd need to contact golf link! Needless to say, we will not try booking again!

Course is well maintained, wish they would enforce the cart path and 90 degree rules better or the "weekend warriors" are going to ruin it. Good course for the money, less pricey than Salishan, allowing for playing more often for those of us in the not real rich category.

Clubhouse is decent, good selection of beers and pretty good food for a golf course, looks out on the start of ten and the entire 18th hole. Staff is all friendly

Course is both hilly and sloped. The par is only 62, so there are too many par threes. Most of the holes are challenging. The greens are small and slow. Five is interesting severly downhill with a huge trap in the middle of the fairway. The fairways are so sloped if you hit it off line, you ball will bound 50 yards from the fairway or green. The rough is Oregon rough with fir trees you don't hit through and rough so high you can lose your ball or a small child.

Nine is a short position par four. Ten is all you could want in a short par five. Eighteen is a great finishing hole, a long par three slightly downhill with the clubhouse restaurant and deck where people can watch and boo those shots which don't reach the green.

I've seen plans to build out the course, but the Indian tribe is likely waiting uttil they can pay cash for the improvements. They have a great piece of terrain to build a truly fine golf course. We have been waiting for the improved course.

The course runs a lot of specials so watch for them: couples on Friday evening, weekends the like. They have reciprocal agreement with other Oregon courses where if you are a member at McNary in Kaiser for example, where you can play for the price of a cart fee.

The golf shop staff, course grounds crew and helpers are very friendly. We like to use the indoor golf range (converted tennis court). The facility also has an exercise facility, but will usually find more people in the bar.

Overall the course is at best average with a few very fun holes to play. In the immediate area there is also Salishan, spendy but a nice course, and Agate Beach in Newport, a nine hole basic course but across the street from the Ocean. You get the breeze, but not the view!
