18 hole regulation length course
71 par | 6,701 yards
The 18-hole "Stonebridge" course at the Scissortail Golf Course facility in Claremore, Oklahoma features 6,701 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. Designed by Randy Heckenkemper, the Stonebridge golf course opened in 2006.
Played a round there 2 weeks ago now that it is under new management. New putting green should be up and running now and was looking to be in good shape...the pro shop has been completly renovated, the course was in good shape....although the greens were very sandy and slow....the course is tight and will take some long and straight shots to stay in the short grass....the par 4's are where this course shine...there are some that are driveable and some you can smoke a driver off the tee and still be staring a 150yd + shot into the green. This is not a typical driver off the tee pw/9 into the green...I hit a 3wood and 2 irons off the tee on par 4's as the course will demand you make good decisons on the tee box. This course is making a great comeback from the last few years and is a GREAT value now for some decent golf
As mentioned the course is under new management. They should open back up on march 1st or April 1st. If you came in 2010, please come back. The course suffered from a lot of winter burn, and never recovered. They are supposed to be redoing the putting green, and adding a chipping area. The clubhouse is also under renovation. When it was in good shape in 2009 I played at least once a week and for the money you cant beat it. It must have been good, you had to have a tee time 3 days in advance or you probably wouldnt get on "even weekdays".
Course is under new ownership effective November 2010...many renovations to be done over the winter. Should be a much better experience in 2011. New owners have over 30 years experience golf course construction and management.
Played a few days ago and by far one of the worst experiences I have had in the Tulsa area. Course was in terrible shape and the staff member in the shop was not friendly at all. His off color language would be upsetting to anyone. I would highly recommend choosing another facility or even a pasture would be better.
This place was terrible. Fairways (if you can find them) are horrible. Worst course I have played.
Terrible course. golfers here play slow, so expect a long round. Fairways were nonexistent and the course is a terrible design. Artificial mounding, white sand, houses. A lot of the holes feel forced.
