SLOW PLAY AND OVERBOOKED!!! IF YOU LIKE SNAIL'S-PACE GOLF, OVERBOOKING, AND AN UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF, THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!! I booked a single tee time riding 18 via on Fri., June 10, 2011. I play alot of golf and a lot as a single during the week thru Golfnow- never any problems. I know that as a single you are taking your chances, you might have to play through or be paired, etc.., no biggie. If it matters, I shoot 70's-80's. I get through 4 holes and beginning at the 5th, the tee boxes are stacked up with 4-somes 2 and three groups deep. The group ahead said that it's going to be a looong day. Tee times got off 20 to 30 minutes late (no rain or weather delay), and that there was no starter and they had seen no ranger. They suggested I drive up a few holes and then double back later. I drove to the 7th, stacked up, 8th, stacked up....all the way to the 15th with the same senario all the way. I stopped at some guys at the 15th and asked "what the...?"... Two said they used to be members when it was a private country club and now it is ran terribly and unprofessionally and this is now the norm rather than an anomaly. I went back to the clubhouse to ask for a refund and the 12 yr old general manager mockingly shrugged his shoulders and said "well, you are a single" AS IF IT IS SOMEHOW MY FAULT FOR SHOWING UP AS A SINGLE!". I said "so what?, you advertised the tee time and this pace would be unplayable under any circumstance, I'm on pace for over a 6 hour round.". So he grabs hs calculator AND PRO-RATES A RAIN CHECK FOR 14 HOLES GOOD FOR A MONTH WITH NO APPOLOGY OR ANYTHING. I said that I just drove 38 miles (I live on the east side od Cincinnati) and I doubt I'd get back within a month to even use it. he just matter-of-factly said "that's all I can do", and hands me the rain check as he's waiting to overbook more walk-ons waiting in line with no warning of slow play ahead. That's when I went off!! several of those waiting turned and walked least that's a little satisfying. 38 miles at $4 a gallon for an overbooked course, an attitude, unprofessionalism, and a pro-rated rain-check for 14 holes. what a shame, because the 4 holes I did get to play were nice!

I was skeptical about this course after reading several reviews about slow play and yes it was slow, but the course itself is very nice. I think the 130 slope rating is off. It plays much harder. The greens are about as fast as I have ever played on, but roll very true. This is not a flat course by any means and is pretty tight but overall this is one of my new favorite courses. Just allow yourself extra time for the slow play and you will truly enjoy this course.

The course is beat up from public play with huge divots everywhere. Carts are constantly running out of juice. They overbook and double book tee times. Takes at least more than 5.5 hours to play the course. It is so overbooked that they have to wait for carts to come in so they have one available for you. Save your money. Believe me you will not have fun waiting to hit your tee shot on every hole. This used to be one of the premier courses in Cincinnati and now is a dump. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Horrible experince. Slowest play I have ever had. They over book the course. Had 2 carts die on us. Once on the 5 hole. Took them 25 minutes to get us a new cart. The second time was on the 14th hole. We had to get out and push the cart uphill. We called 7 times to get someone to get us a new cart. Finaly had to push the cart in. I will never play there again. And I will tell everyone I know about this horrific customer service.

This course changed from private to semi-private last year. Public can play at a very reasonable price after 11:00 am. Some tight driving holes with rolling terrain. Course was in great shape, especially considering lack of rain lately. Stimp meter rating for the day listed at first tee (9.6) was a nice touch. Greens were undulating with a few difficult placements. After playing this course once, I would use a safer strategy off certain tees.
