Played Minisceongo today. The course is in nice shape. Very tight. If you're game is not on you can go through a lot of golf balls. They have an absurd method of requiring you to drive on the fairways, not on the roughs but only part way. You must exit the fairway a good long ways from the green, sometimes over 100 yards away and drive the cart path. On a few of the holes you must move to the cart path after a blind shot so you really don't know where your ball is. This requires driving as close as possible to the green, which isn't close at all and walking, sometimes around 100 yds over hills to determine your lie, then walk back to the cart for the proper clubs and then return to the ball. A ridiculous waste of time and energy.
Clubhouse is nice, staff (starter and rangers) are uniformly arrogant.
The course itself is in good shape and it could be a fun course with a better way of negotiating the course by golf cart. With the present way of getting around the course, which is basically cart path only and the smart @$!*% staff, I would absolutely not play this course again, not even for free. There are much better choices for golf in this area, even some of the municipal courses are head and shoulders above Minisceongo.

Great club, I had the chance to play here with my golf team, there are tough blind shots, but this is the best course I have played so far.

Fantastic private course only 45 minutes from NYC up the Palisades. Yes it is tight, the greens are like center ice at MSG and the mulitutde of blind shots will require a guide with some good local knowledge. But, if you can keep it straight and make the two or three carry's that stand between you and a good score, this course will get into your system and you will want to come back. The covered outdoor deck of the restaurant/pub overlooking the 18th green is a great place to celebrate or commiserate after a round.
