After a night of rain the course is barely playable after 3 days. Greens were in poor condition to the point of "take a 2 putt" after landing on one. Disappointing.

Very well maintain course, With challenging Drives & Holes. A Great get away for Golfer's of all ages.

This is one of the 3 oldest courses in America. On the shores of Lake Champlain-- one of the most beautiful lakes in America. Originally part of a grand resort at the turn of the 19th century, long since gone. Somewhat quirky lay out (no surprise given its age). Front nine is more interesting and more scenic-- along the lake. Back nine is flatter-- except 18 which is a good closing hole with a nice uphill layout. Back nine is unusual in having 3 par 3's and 3 par 5's. When you're there also try Adirondack Country Club, right down the road. This section of the state has some of thebest values in golf due to its heritage as a since-forgotten resort area for NY's very rich. Plattsburgh, Westport, Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Rouses Point, Malone... have interesting courses at bargain basement prices.
