Fairways of Half Moon , Mechanicville, NY

First...they had a special on their website which I showed the guy on my phone and he refused to give us the special.

Second...they paired my friend and I up with two phenomenal golfers (we are not) and made the round so uncomfortable for us that we left at 16.

Third...course was in terrible shape. Greens were awful..fairways awful.

Never playing there again...shame on you guys.

This was the worst golf experience of my life. The course is flooded with rude elderly folks that think they own the place. I had an 80 year old man walk over from a different hole to yell at me because one of my 4 cart tires was off of the path and there was a path only rule in play.

Also it took 4 hours to play 10 holes!!!!!!!!!!! I was shooting well, but so frustrated by the slow play and rudeness, I just couldn't do it anymore. You've been warned, play somewhere else, anywhere else!!!!

Course staff does not manage pace of play. After 3 hours, we had completed 6 holes and were waiting - with 3 other foursomes to tee off at 7. At this point, we stopped. I asked for a rain check or refund for 1/2 of the greens fees and they refused. The pro said this pace of play was nothing unusual and we should expect to spend 6 hours or more for a round of golf! The fairways were in decent shape, greens in horrible shape. I will never play this course again.

This golf course has a lot of short pars 4 that will require you to leave your driver in the bag as the fairway tends to wind and/or narrow. The back 9 is far more scenic then the front 9 is. The conditions were excellent and I can't wait to go back to this course
