What a very pleasant surprise! Played on a hot day in June. Greens are fast and very challenging. As one of the previous reviews noted, there isn't any sand and not a lot of water, but they aren't needed. The greens will wreck your card if you get careless. Great mix of risk reward and grip it and rip it holes. Very well maintained, and the staff were very nice. Very reasonable greens fees too. I think I'll score better next time I play though. There are some blind tee shots, and if it isn't crowded, I suggest that you take a ride up to see the green/ fairway. Hole 15 is a bit screwy. I couldn't figure out the best way to play it. A+++ course. I love it.

Maple Hill golf course

I play Maple Hill at least 3 times a year. The course is VERY reasonably priced and coupons can be readily found, which make it cheaper still. The clubhouse is pretty nice. You'll find a bar and grill, and a nice enclosed glass walled porch, where you can watch people playing up to the 18th green - with a panoramic background canvas. This course can be VERY tough, despite the 119 slope rating. Regardless of what you think, ALL of the greens break toward the valley. The fairways can be tight in places, and there is a lot of slope and elevation change. The views are beautiful and bountiful (especially in the spring and fall). The front 9 winds you slowly down the hill to a plateau and then back up to the clubhouse. The back 9 plays similarly. The greens are FAST and undulating. Shot placement is key on several of them. I can't tell you how many times I've seen someone zero a green, only to have the ball roll gently off into the rough-like water off a ducks back. You'll find no sand here, but that's only because it's not necessary. Strategically placed water and sloped fairways claim enough victims. If you are up for a challenge, then Maple Hill may be the course for you.

Dare you to be bold

Sneaky long golf course. Well maintained and Semi-Masters like greens. Great challenge for the true golfer.
