The previous two reviews are not an accurate assessment of the golf course. OKGC is a true test of golf. If you are looking for the best layout in the Capital District, OKGC is second to none. The conditions are the only thing that hold the place back, although the conditions are good. The bunkers need work because of poor construction, but the easiest way to not have to deal with the bunkers is not hit it in them! If you are into golf architecture, this is a must play! Someone who appreciates a golf course’s design and doesn’t rate a golf course solely on conditions will love this place. An absolute must play. See if you can actually play golf and go play the tips at OKGC, you’ll see what you’re really made of.

Played it on October 21st 2012. The course was soaking wet, Not their fault since it poured out 2 days before with 2" of rain. Supposed to be a premium course, looking for new members. $5000 per year, the tee boxes were all diseased. The traps were in terrible shape with rocks and grass growing in them. Very little sand. The Fairways and the greens were fine. The rest of the course was a total disappointment. You could kill yourself on the cart paths they are so bad. They should be ashamed of themselfs on the course condition. On the plus side if you like difficult golf courses, this is a beast.
