RaNic Golf Club, Ithaca, NY

The Ithaca Golf Course is a beautiful and enjoyable course with a rich history.

Located in the New York's Finger Lakes Region, the private golf course is a part of the Country Club of Ithaca. The club opened in 1900 making it one of the oldest golf clubs in the region. After a few early moves, the club settled where it is today. It is a gorgeous area with mature trees that are showing off their colors this time of year.

The par-72 golf course offers several tees with the back tees measuring 6,595 yards with a slope rating of 132. Save your energy for the back nine as it is a bit longer than the front and features the longest hole on the course, the par-5, twelfth hole that measures 560 yards.

The course is mostly wide open, but the challenges come in various water hazards, fairway bunkers and creative elevation changes. It is an enjoyable course to walk and take in the surrounding scenery.

The clubhouse is immaculate and offers a nice place to relax after your round. The food is also quite good. There is a driving range on site, as well as putting green and pitching area. A teaching pro is available to offer lessons.

If given the opportunity, jump at the chance to play the Ithaca Golf Course. It is one of the best maintained and enjoyable courses in the area.
