Bethpage State Park Golf Course, Farmingdale, NY

Great course and great value. Bethpage Green is located adjacent to the Black course on the same set of rolling hills that 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the Black are built on. The course features a lot of elevation changes with quite a few tee boxes elevated a considerable distance above the fairway making for fun tee shots. My only negative comment about the course is that several of those elevated tees could use some stairs as opposed to the steep dirt path that leads up to the top. Similar to the Black the course also features a lot of bunkers, especially around the greens. Course maintenance was excellent... no matter what course at Bethpage you play you always see crews constantly out on the course filling in fairway divots, hand watering sensitive areas or just touching things up a bit. I found myself in quite a few bunkers and every one was full of deep fluffy sand that was well raked... something you often don't see at a municipal course. This course is another great part of the Bethpage collection and will make for an enjoyable and affordable round.
