I make sure to play this little gem every time I am in the area. The greens are seriously some of the nicest, toughest greens I have played. They appear flat and true but really tough subtle breaks. The course is ALWAYS meticulous. Though not exceptionally long, you pay the price for errant shots. Very friendly owners to. I live near a big city, and am usually forced to pay exorbitant greens fees for much much lower quality and crowded conditions. I am amazed at how low the prices here are (I think they are listed wrong above, I paid much less that $39). It really is an exceptional value in dollars per amount of enjoyment. Fantastic value.

Cato was ok in my book. When I went, many of the greens were under repair and I found the course to be mediocre at best. The tee locations on a few holes are in very bad locations, in one case being directly adjacent to the fairway.

Review of cato golf club

This course is not much to look at by the score card but once you step out on the course you can see that this course is a challenge. There is not tremendous length on this course but stray tee shots will be punished by beautiful mature trees. The greens at cato are the best in the area, they rival or surpass private club greens. They are fast but very receptive. They are very true to putt on as well. Cato golf club is a true value, not all of us can play on professional golf courses but at least you can get a taste of what the pros putt on. Cato is truly my favorite golf course and I highly reccomend you come out an play on this gem.
