Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course, Bronx, NY

Nothing too special, but interesting to play on a course with so much history. Overall a short course, but some long Par 5s and 2 long Par 3s (one of them is 200 yds and the other is about 175 deceivingly uphill) Holes are spread out in clusters and the last 4 have significant elevation so get a cart if you don't think you can handle it.

In my experience, the old dude starter is good with getting people to tee off on time but after that no real sign of rangers and some slow play. considering its in NYC and subwayable, the value is great. They're pretty good with deals so check golfnyc.com or golfnow for deals.

AVOID THIS COURSE AT ALL COSTS. Had to bail on 11th hole after FOUR HOURS! Arrived at allotted tee time to find TWENTY golfers of widely ranging standard waiting to tee off. Waited 10-15 at EVERY hole. Worst golf experience I've ever had. I HOPE YOU HEED THIS AND SAVE YOURSELF THE EXPERIENCE.

Nice, but a bit hard but keep in the fairway you are good, yard markers are not there, so guess alot, all in all good course. do not do not walk you will be calling the pro shop for a cart.
