I know we had a lot of rain the past few days, but there was too much water on the fairways. Huge 1/2" deep puddles in the middle of the fairways.
Worst part was that they had no power so payment had to be made in cash and there were no carts because they weren't charged. I understand that this is not their fault but a phone call or email or even a notice on the website would have been nice so everyone would have been prepared for these conditions and had cash with them!

This course has a great layout and some unique holes that borders both a neighborhood as well as the woods. On the front nine the course surrounds homes while the back nine would appear to be a completely different course. I liked the contrast with some neat holes, a few with water. The course could get a really high rating if the maintainance wasn't well below par. Intentional rough along the fairways is fine, but when the second cut is high grass doesn't provide the player with the courses intent. The price is only fair, but it does have logo balls, a plus. It's worth playing once just because the actual layout and course itself is very nice. Overall rating B-

I played this course about 3 times this year and this past Saturday will be the last time I will ever play here!! I played at 3:00 and asked when the carts needed to be in. They said at 7:15 pm. I breezed through the front nine and got to the 18th hole about 7:00. I waited at the hole and got on the tee box at 7:05 and as I was about to tee off the so called "Ambasturder" comes driving up and says if you teed off you could finish the hole but since you didn't I had to come in. I replied I didn't tee off because you were coming up the cart path. He then went on to be belligerent with me saying did you or did you not hear from the counter carts had to be in at 7:15. It goes to show how much the really care about the customers here!! Also the greens where like putting in the sand !!!

This course is such a disappointment, the greens and tee boxes were aerated and dressed already, a little early to be putting thru sand all day, maintenance here is always spotty, issue of money here or lack thereof, don't bother to play unless you get a deal.

Great course even in winter.

The course was in good shape, the tee boxes, fairways and greens were in good shape. The rough areas were grass like I have in my back yard, nothing special. This is a nice course, but very average.

I will not be running back here to play, for free it was great. To pay for the round, I would have been a little disappointed. The houses around the course are run down and are an eye sore to the club. The ranger was on our @$!*% about riding on the rough and fairways. If they didn’t want carts on the course, make it cart path only. He was getting a little ridiculous with his repeated requests, we were warned about 5 to 6 times. Then after the round, driving back to the club house, there is a guy (product of the neighborhood) on the putting green in a wife beater tee shirt. I can’t ride on the grass where I was told I could take the cart, but this dope can play golf at a facility in a wife beater shirt. They need to get their act together.

The skeleton of a good course exists here, but it's kind of lost underneat the decaying flesh of American Golf maintenance and the surrounding neighborhood. With some tree removal and minor turf improvements this would be a solid course, although nothing too different from hundredds of other RTJ designs. As it stands, it's a decent course and challenge. It's worth one look in order to decide for yourself.

Great course. Fun & challenging. Excellent value, especially so if you get on their email mailing list.

Back nine is Robert Trent Jones design; holes 13 & 14 especially challenging; Front side more open; bunkers need some work; look for specials for great value
