Monmouth County NJ has some of the finest public golf courses in the country. The County government has done an amazing job at up keeping several gems in the golf world. Charleston Springs is one of those facilities. Charleston Springs South is a well maintained course with creative holes and great land usage. tee boxes, fairways and greens complexes were all in great shape. Some of the holes played long but it made for interesting shot/club choices. Charleston Spring South made me pull clubs out of my bag I rarely use because the distances and elevation changes were so varied. I found this rather refreshing. The pace of play was pretty good, I would definitely play this course again.
