I'm surprised to see the mixed reviews on this course. I've played almost every course in the Southern Jersey/Atlantic City area and Mays Landing is one of the best. The course itself has a lot of interesting holes where a carry is needed over some wasteland and or water which comes into play on several holes. The maintainance was very good, fairways nice, but the greens were the absolute best. Fair speed, true reads and if you can putt you can put up a really nice score. Due to the aforementioned carries and water obstacles the course provided some decently challenging holes while still allowing you to hit quality shots unlike other courses I've played where the obstacles require layups or ridiculous pinpoint accuracy. The price of $25 to walk twilight weekday is wonderful for a course of its caliber. They have logo balls for the logo ball lover like myself, a huge plus. Apparently it can get a little crowded as it was the day I went, but that is to be expected for a course like this and the starter did a good job spacing out players. What's not to like. I'd strongly recommend giving this place a try, I know I will. Overall rating A.

Course maintenance was very poor on the day I played - unfortunately, we were replaying the course in the same day so I had to put up with the poor conditions twice!

played 06-08-09. fairways and tees in great shape. rough is a little well, rough. $45 after 1 pm seemed fair. will play again as I'm in town a week. played here after some research. man, golf is expensive here in New Jersey.

Like hitting off of concrete. Not a bad course if you are taking your son out to teach him how to play. Otherwise, it is not worth the drive time.

Nice course for the money. Very cheap if you play after 5 pm. Although the sun will be directly in your eyes on a number of holes. Just watch out for slow golfers. Conditions are fairly good. No overly difficult holes. Very funny starter.

Wow, they fixed this place up pretty good. Still need some work on the tees and fwys. But, the greens were excellent. Not a bad one for the price.

Great Value!

One can't beat the price for weekday golf and if the course is not crowded, one can get in another 9 holes without further charge. Speak to the starter, a local character who goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. Nice people, nice course and a few challenges to keep it interesting.
