@thegolfkid - Twisted Dune and Green Tree are Two completely different types of courses. Green Tree is modest, affordable, and fun. For 30 dollars a head with a cart you can't beat the price. Twisted Dune costs over 90 dollars to play. TD is a links course, much larger, and sandier. The people at TD are nice but the golfers that come to play there are judgmental, prejudice against younger players...argh! Simply put, you can't compare. I love green tree, it gives poor people like me a chance to play a great sport.
@Happel - I agree about SOME staff members there not appreciating their jobs but the old man ranger is one hell of a guy who's given me plenty of pointers and encouragement when I'm struggling. The girls there are very cool, polite and professional.

Long story short, this course is great for the money and it's very comfortable and relaxing, challenging too for beginners and average players. Hole 3 is a par 6 and is challenging too! Don't pass this one up, especially if your golfing with beginners or seniors.

Bad course, and the conditions are pretty bad. I am a member at Twisted Dunes GC about 10 min. away. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! I at least expected nice pace of play... My tee time was at 8;40 as a twosome, but there were 14 people waiting to tee off and didnt start my round til 9;30!!!! No ranger in sight and staff didnt care. I paid $33 and would NOT go there again!!!

Don't bother. The staff, with exception of the young girl at the snack bar, could care less that you are keeping them employed. The course is in terrible condition. They do not have a starter to maintain slow play. Once my friend use the ball washer and they had bleach in it and it ruined his brand new $50 Ralph Lauren; the didn't care or apologize. There are better courses in the area that are operated with a greater sense of pride.

The course is a great value for the price with most holes adding a new wrinkle. Water comes into play often which adds to the scenery. The deer that come out just before sunset and eat on the course are amazingly cool. Tons of them and literally you walk past them at 10ft or less away. The rangers do act that this is Pebble Beach however, and it is not. I was stuck behind a 4some and hit a few extra chips ONE time just to let that group get some space and the rangers scolded me. Huh?? Overall though, very nice. Ps. They sell logo balls......yes.

Terrible experience. I've played the course a few times and it gets worse every time. Tried to play this past weekend. Course conditions are sub par and there were 4 "twosomes" in front of us at the tee box and none of them paired up. Took an hour and a half to play 3 holes before we left. No ranger in sight to speed up play. What a waste of time and money

This course is a good value, especially if have the county card. Teed off at 9:30 on a Saturday for $30 with a cart. The fairways weren't great, and the greens had just been aerated, but overall it was in pretty good shape. For the money, it's a great course. If you want to play a really nice course, you'll have to pay double or more. Great course for those duffers out there.

Not a terrible course for the price. I believe i payed about $33 with a cart on a weekday.

One major concern however is the fly/mosquito issue. I played here in mid August and the bugs were nearly unbearable. A fairly open course that isn't too difficult to play.

The rangers were some annoying old farts. This is not a prestigious course by any means but yet they want to justify their job and act like it is. We parked our cart in a shaded spot that happened to be a few feet away from the neglected tee box and the ranger proceeded to attempt to scold us over that.

The course is not the best maintained but it's not the worst i played. I say, give it a shot if you haven't played here before but i'm not eager to return.
