Course Reviews

Nice course.

Played Knoll West on a rainy and soggy Friday afternoon. The course is fairly long from the white tees - about 6,400 yards, so the wet conditions limiting the roll made the course especially tough for this short hitting 19 handicapper.

The finishing hole is their best hole in my opinion. It is a par 4 to an elevated green right in front of the clubhouse.

This course is a semi-private course that is reasonable for non-residents of New Jersey, cheaper for residents of New Jersey and very, very cheap for residents of Parsippany.

A recommended play.

I've played the course a few times, and it's a challenging and interesting course. Definitely of the 'old school' variety, but the combination of bunkers, rough and (on many holes) required length/accuracy make it a very worthwhile course.

Played outing 8/27/09. Course was in very good shape. Rough was nice and thick. Greens rolled true. (Need to enforce ball mark repairs!) I've played course every year for 10 years. Still fun to play.

I have played this course over the years for the past 14 years. The last 2 years the course impressed me so much that I joined! Water is vitrually never in play, only one hole has any water at all. There are no forced carries, no killer holes, the new bunkers are gorgeous unless you are in or in the high grass around one. The staff is courteous and interested in you, an odditiy for a "muni." Only downside is the number of outings and the lack of respect for the course shown by some who do not repair their divots or ball marks or rake the sand after they hit out.

I've played K-West several times, always at shotgun start tourneys. Enjoyable course and the event was planned/managed very well. Each time there, I have played in mid to late spring, so the ground did seem a little spongy in the low spots, but overall, I would rate this course very favorably.

One of the best in North Jersey...greens are toughest when pin placements are in the championship spot..otherwise challengin and very fair. Grounds are well kept and very classy. Will definitely play again!
