This course is a GEM! Expected to pay 2 or 3 times more for a course designed by a PGA pro and as fancy as this course, but it was very reasonable fee and a very fair test of skill for an average golfer like me. Staff was very friendly, course well maintained, and everything was first class. If you come to W-S this should be on your "must play" list. You will enjoy it!

My wife and I played there today. Well, she played -- I have an injured finger so I just tagged along. The course was in very good shape, especially considering the amount of rain that hit it yesterday. Nice layout, challenging greens with a lot of hidden slopes you can't see from the fairway. Everything was well maintained. Cost $22 for her to play 9 (which I thought was a little high), but would only be $29 for 18, which I think is a great deal for the quality. There was some goose crap like one poster said, but it was by no means overwhelming or any problem at all.

We'll be back. I would recommend it if you are in the Triad.

The Meadowlands is a beautiful course, with exciting fairway play, and beautiful scenery all around a real pleasure course. The staff in the front office could use some personal communication skills, they were unfriendly and acted as if we were bothersome when checking in. Oh, and I almost forgot, they tried to overcharge us on the ladies day. I will never forget that one.

Meadowlands isn't a bad course at all. I liked it better last year but my two biggest complaints are: all of the goose crap, espcially around the big lake, and how poor their driving range is. The goose poop is really bad on hole 10, I mean you can't tee your ball up without stabbing some. And the driving range teeing area is horrible. It just seems like the course could be taken better care of, which is true of lots of courses, but this looks unattended. It seems to being going downhill to me which is a shame because last year I would have written a different and better review. Hopefully Pinnacle golf will fix it up some and get it up better like Stoney Creek which is another one of their courses which I like much better. It really could be one of the better public courses in the area if it was just taken care of better. I'm a 10 handicap and think it is difficult enough without losing it's fun.

Living here and being a member, i can honestly say that this is one of the best golf courses in the area. With some very demanding tee shots from the blues and tips, such as holes 10, 12, 18, 2, 4, and 7. Some holes are greatly affected by winds that are ALWAYS in your face and make it a very challenging course.

My handi is 15 here.

I play from the blues.

This is a beautiful, well-maintained course. It is challenging, but playable. It was not crowded. I had a very relaxing, enjoyable round and played pretty well. So of course I will be back! Love it!

Beautiful course... plenty of challenge... definitely one of the best in the area

Hale Irwin is definitely a professional....

This course was designed by Hale Irwin, and apparently he took the job seriously! This course is well planned, well laid out & well maintained. I played on a weekday when the rates were reasonable & there were no crowds to speak of. The staff was friendly & helpful. The course was designed so that the blue tees play really tough, but the whites are more than fair to the average golfer like me. A relaxed round of golf on this beautiful course was a real treat.

Meadowlands is not for the beginnner.

This is a beautiful course especially for the price. It has narrow fairways and is geared more toward ball placement than distance - although there are several long holes that will require both.
