WCC is the nicest course in Wilson County and after a recent membership drive the club now has new life. Average age of new members is now under 45 and the club and course has new life and is a fun place again. After a major upgrade several years ago the course has settled down into a championship layout challenging for any level golfer. The course is in fantastic shape and you are truly rewarded for good shots. Greens are undulating/fast, fairways are lush, and hazards abound. An average golfer can do well if you play from the correct tees, but from the tips it can be a challenging course. I have not found anything wrong with this course except there are too many houses built too close the course on some holes (my golf game finds some of those frequently).
The facilities are a bit dated but the Pro shop is stocked full of gear and will match online pricing. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If you want to play, just call up the pro shop and usually for new folks you can get on and play even without a member.
Go play, it is well worth the trip over to this city!
