Thistle Golf Club, Sunset Beach, NC

Played this course the day after a heavy rain storm and all of the traps were flooded....I mean I lost 4 brand new balls in sand traps feet from the greens and also in the fairway waste bunkers(nothing close to being out-of-bounds or in woods, etc.) where the water was 2-3 feet deep and muddy. Several others in our group of 8 player also lost balls.

Brought this to the attention of the "ranger and pro shop/PRO" and they could care less. Played in April @ $130/pp or $1,040 for the group of 8, plus lunch and drinks, and all the course would say is "sorry, we can't help you". They wouldn't even consider a rain check, a sleeve of golf balls or anything else to compensate us.

Our group will consider other more caring golf courses.

Greens were destroyed (burned out) and they never informed us about this prior to paying or teeing off. The fairways and rest of the course were outstanding, but the burned out greens and being charged full price affects the rating.
